Spy Optic sunglasses and Avalanche Endurance Events have teamed together to bring you a cycling event the like of which has never before been seen in the UK. Set in and around the hills of South Shropshire, the course takes the rider though ink black forests, secret villages, and over some of the most spectacular and little known mountain passes the country has to offer. With up to 170km+ of suffering over sinuous, bone grinding roads and tracks, fraught with shocking climbs, mud, dust, fords and frightful winds, the SAS (Spy Avalanche Slaughterhouse) Ride is a challenge worthy of any of the Belgian Spring cycling classic races.
For those of you made of the right stuff we are determined to give you an experience quite unlike anything else out there. With two options; 170km+ and 105km+ courses, both will feature a main field and Masters King of the Mountains and Sprinter’s jersey competition, as well as hard man rider prizes. The Spy Avalanche Slaughterhouse Ride not only provides a serious Spring challenge for riders of any ability, the KOM, Sprinter, and hard man points classification also gives a real competitive element to those who want to break away and ride fast and hard. To make your time on the road run smoothly you will be fully supported with premium food stops, motorcycle outriders and on call mechanical assistance. We’ll keep you fueled riding and suffering all the way to the finish where you can take a hot shower and enjoy a hearty meal and a bottle of limited edition Slaughterhouse Ride Belgian ale, all in great company.
