REGISTRATION
Your registration fee will include a light post race meal, hot drinks and automatic entry into the race number raffle. After completing your registration details you will be presented with the option of making payment by credit/debit card or through Paypal. If you would prefer to pay by cheque or directly in the bank, please contact the Avalanche Team at [email protected]
Please be advised that places fill up quickly, and once we have reached our limit we will be unable to allocate any more entries and registration will close. Otherwise Registration will close two weeks before the event.
Withdrawal/Refund policy:
Withdrawal requests must be received in writing via E-mail to [email protected]. Without exception, all requests must be received on or before April 4th, 2013 to be eligible for a partial refund of £15. Transfers or deferments are NOT permitted.
We understand that participants who can't attend may logically think, "I can't run, so I would like my money back." But from the event organizer's perspective, it's not that simple. So we'd like to provide some insight into the no-refund / no-transfers policy; and hope you'll understand and respect why providing refunds isn't possible.
The production of the Avalanche Endurance Event is a major undertaking which requires months of planning, as well as a large up front financial investment. Yes, some of the expenses get participants through the event; but many, perhaps most, just get participants to the start line. To offer refunds or discount money back to athletes who cancel could essentially put the event out of business.
Liability:
You will be required to sign a liability release form when you pick up your bib number/goody bag on race day.
Modification of the course:
The organisation reserves the right to modify at any moment the route. In the case of unfavourable weather conditions the start may be postponed by a maximum of three hours, after that time, the race maybe shortened or cancelled.
In the case of severe weather conditions, and for reasons of safety, the organisation reserves the right to stop the event underway.
Event Cancellation Policy:
In case of cancellation of an event, for whatever reason, decided more than 15 days before the date of the start of the race, a partial refund of the registration fees will be made. The amount of this refund will be fixed so as to allow the organisation to cover all irredeemable expenses committed, up to the date of the cancellation. In case of a cancellation decided less than 15 days before the departure or in case of interruption of the race, for whatever the reason, no refund of the registration fee will be made. However, in all such instances a new date will be assigned.
