THE COURSE:
There are two courses available. 170 km+ and 105 km.
The 170 km+ course will feature in excess of 2400m of climbing and four sprint zones and will be marked with blue direction arrows.
The 105 km course will feature over 1000m+ of climbing and will feature three sprint zones and will be marked with red direction arrows.
Both routes will have GPX file downloads available for your Garmin or other GPS device prior to the event.
CATEGORIES:
Main peloton: 18-45
Masters: 46+
If there is sufficient interest we will also stage a ladies' main peloton 105km Slaughterhouse route otherwise ladies will be welcome to join the main peloton.
SERVICE COURSE (SAG WAGON):
The tail of the course will be followed by a fully equipped team of mechanics. If you have a mechanical issue give the SAG wagon a call on your cell, tell them your kilometre location and assistance will be with you as quickly as is safely possible.
VOITURE BALAI
The Broom Wagon (not to be confused with a Sag Wagon) is the name for the vehicle that follows a Cycle Road Race picking up stragglers (or sweeping them up) who are unable to make it to the finish of the race.
THE VENUE:
The school has ample car parking space and for overfill there is a parking facility in nearby Cardingmill Valley.
As soon as your bike is secured you have quick and easy access to the changing rooms and hot showers.
The main hall has a kitchen facility where you will be served a warm and hearty meal.
The gymnasium weight room will host a massage team ready to get your aching legs back into shape for a ride on Sunday or work on Monday.
The main hall will also have a bar serving limited edition bottles of Spy Avalanche Slaughterhouse Belgian ale.
Sponsors will have displays and merchandise stands in the sports hall.
